Scottsdale Stadium was built in 1992 and holds 12,000 spectators. The Giants are one of the most popular teams in the Cactus League and the games are often sold out.

Besides the major league Giants in spring, the stadium also hosts the Arizona League Giants in the summer rookie league, and the Scottsdale Scorprions in the Arizona Fall League.

We saw a night spring training game at the park. The vast majority of spring training games are played in the afternoon.

Scottsdale was home to the Phoenix Firebirds of the Pacific Coast League until 1997. They were moved to Fresno and became the Grizzlies in 1998, and the MLB Arizona Diamondbacks began play in Phoenix.
